Before Coastal Prop entered the U.S. market, propeller tuning was at best mysterious. No one could actually measure the exact pitch, as well as evaluate the blade loading, of a propeller.

Widely varying pitch differences and/or blade shapes between blades causes a variety of problems. These problems are often misdiagnosed, leading you to suspect other causes of problems. This is further accented by pitch variances between propellers on a boat.

We have had many customers who began on the wrong end of the boat to solve their engine, performance, and vibration problems. After spending thousands of dollars by pulling their boats and having their shafts checked, engines aligned, and more, they still have the problems.  With our system we first measure, evaluate and then correct the pitch variances, pitch distributions, and blade loading variances of each propeller. If the customer still has a vibration they can begin to look elsewhere because it will not be in the propellers.
